At present, terminal materials on the market mainly include polycarbonate, urea resin (electric jade powder) and ABS engineering plastics.

1. Polycarbonate, commonly known as bulletproof glue. It is a kind of thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive performance. It has the advantages of high toughness, high heat resistance, high flame retardancy, high electrical insulation performance, UV resistance, stable color and no color change, etc. It is widely used in automobiles, electronic and electrical, construction, Office equipment, packaging, sports equipment, appliances, household goods, etc. Most of the switch sockets are used to make panels, frames and shells, and a small number of them are made of PC materials even in the rear seat.
2. Urea resin, also called urea-formaldehyde resin, UF, and its compression molding powder is commonly known as electric jade powder. It was the main material for domestic production of switch sockets before the 1990s. Used as an insulating material for electrical products, compared with PC materials, its impact resistance, performance, insulation performance and performance are worse, and it is easy to change color, and the surface becomes very rough if it touches too much. It is a kind of material that is widely used in middle and low grades, and is mostly used to make panels for switches and sockets.
3. ABS, an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene terpolymer, is a general-purpose engineering plastic with diverse varieties and wide-ranging applications. It is also called "general-purpose plastic". It was also the main material for domestic production of switch sockets before the 1990s, and it is currently mainly used in the production of bottom boxes. Although ABS has surface hardness, its impact resistance and flame retardancy are poor, and it is prone to oxidation and discoloration, and yellowing of the surface will appear soon after use. However, many low-end and ultra-low-end switch socket products still use ABS to make panels, frames and fixing frames, and it is not clear that they are ABS, but only engineering plastics.
